Job Title: Product Manager
Reports to: Vice President of Sales and Marketing

SUMMARY:
The Product Manager reports directly to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing and leads collaboratively across the organization to plan and design products through all stages of the product lifecycle, including: conception, definition, development, release and post release activities. The incumbent is also responsible for ascertaining the quality of the user experience, and ensuring user satisfaction with all product features and functionality.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the product portfolio life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities. Define product vision, strategy and objectives based on an expert understanding of industry direction and customer needs.
Inform the product portfolio roadmap with justifiable ideas to enhance existing functionality and introduce new features, taking into account the goals of the organization, competitive outlook, industry direction, and required timelines.
Specify business requirements by developing Marketing Requirements Documents (MRDs) and Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) with prioritized features and corresponding justifications, and generate Software Requirements Specifications (SRS) for subsequent design, development, and testing activities.
Oversee the project management of all beta testing and launch plans, as well as scheduled maintenance/updates.
Facilitate communication throughout the development process between a variety of internal and external teams to ensure successful delivery of new product releases.
Analyze external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities, and establish and maintain relationships with vendors to help facilitate the timely completion of projects.
Evaluate current offerings and usability from a competitive perspective, making recommendations for marketable product enhancements, and function as a change agent to improve our client’s technology, products and services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years product management experience with Internet products, technologies and platforms, managing online products from development through launch.
A technical background (e.g., BS in CS or EE or equivalent technical experience) is strongly preferred, and an MBA is highly desirable.
Experience with an agile development processes and rapidly iterating product release cycles. Demonstrated ability to meet or beat assigned targets and deadlines consistently.
Background in demonstrating positive program ROI while working within a budget is essential.
Successful background in project management from vision to execution with measurable results.
Desired experience includes: product management of online solutions with Financial Media, Online Brokers, or Money Management firms.
Deep understanding of the Internet, interactive platforms, and the associated business models. Strong business and financial acumen; superior analytical and financial modeling skills.
Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and time management skills with the ability to execute against multiple, high-priority projects with a keen attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with diverse audiences, including both technical and non-technical customers and colleagues.
The successful candidate will have an entrepreneurial attitude and strong drive for results. Ability to effectively operate as a self-starter with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving, results-oriented work environment.
Strong PC skills (Excel, Word, presentation software) required.
Must be available and willing to maintain attendance, to travel as required and to work such hours (including outside normal business hours, when required).
