Product Statistics Engineer (part-time, intern, or full-time)
Position located in Mountain View, Ca

meebo is seeking a product stats guru to join its ranks. This empirically-minded contributor will help guide meebo’s product decisions based upon usage statistics. We love instrumentation, A/B testing, and take delight in uncovering the unexpected (who knew the kiss emoticon was so popular!). We thrive on good data & meaty analysis challenges. This is an excellent opportunity to become a key member of a small team and to gain exposure to all facets of an emerging start-up.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:
• Independently design and deploy scripts to gather insight into user behavior and traffic
• Maintain internal meebo dashboard accessible company-wide
• Aggregate, synthesize, and analyze data logs
• Prepare user activity reports to guide product development
• Proactively recommend metrics for understanding user behavior

To be most effective, you will have:
• HTML/CSS/JavaScript and Python experience
• Unix user experience
• Background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Psychology, Information Analytics, or Human-Computer Interaction
• Deep desire to optimize the user experience
• Love a good (okay, absurd) challenge and working together to surpass it

You will be measured by your ability to:
•Work with a diverse team to cultivate ideas, foster user-centric thinking and positively influence design direction
•Listen deeply to team product issues and make statistics and research suggestions that will best inform strategic-thinking
•Build a world-class stats infrastructure that is accessible company-wide that will serve as the groundwork for all future stats projects at meebo
